Irish Exit is a small game made by Brooke Builds Stuff. It collects very little, and it has never wanted your data. Here's the whole story.

What the game collects

Two things, both only if you choose them:

• When you add your score to the global leaderboard, we store the display name you type along with your score, time survived, and difficulty. No account and no email are attached to it. To keep the board fair, score submissions also record a one-way hash of your network address (we can't recover the address from it) used only for abuse prevention.
• If you buy lives in the iOS app, we store an anonymous device identifier and the purchase transaction record so your lives balance follows the purchase. Apple processes the payment — we never see your name, card, or billing details.

What it does not collect

• No accounts, sign-ups, emails, or passwords
• No location, contacts, photos, or microphone (the "play as your face" photo, where offered, stays on your device and is never uploaded)
• No ad networks or ad identifiers in the iOS app (the free web version at irishexitgame.com shows ads via Google AdSense, which sets its own cookies — see Google's ads policy)
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the iOS app (the web version uses cookie-less Vercel Web Analytics page counts)

Stored on your device

Your best time, high score, the name you last used, and your settings are kept locally on your device (in browser storage on the web, on-device on iOS). They never leave your device unless you post a score to the leaderboard.

How leaderboard data is stored

Leaderboard entries and lives-wallet balances are held in a database run for us by Supabase, solely to display the public top-ten boards and to keep your lives balance. Names are length-limited and stripped of control characters before saving. We don't sell data, and there's nothing personal in it to sell.

Children

Irish Exit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only user-entered content is a self-chosen leaderboard nickname.

Removing your entry

Prefer not to appear on the board? Simply don't add your score. If a name or score is already up and you'd like it removed, email brooke@brooke-builds-stuff.com and we'll take it down.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
